Students will not be able to attempt 7th kyu orange belt gradings unless they wear a Shinkyu Gi both at the grading and consistently at class. This shows both support for and respect for the club and our style of Shinkyu Karate.
Are small stepping-stones towards achieving each full grade belt. Each represents one of the five grading criteria. They are FREE and will be awarded in class by your sensei. Each milestone will be rewarded with a certificate and an iron-on tab, which goes on your belt.
Your first three full gradings in Shinkyu will be performed as part of your normal class. These gradings will be rewarded with a certificate and a new belt. Below are the grading rates
Yellow stripe belt grading £5 including belt.
Yellow belt £9 including belt.
Orange stripe belt £9 including belt.
These gradings will need to be prepaid one week before attempting. Note that all in the event of a student not passing a grading they will be afforded 2 more attempts before paying the grading fee again.
Formal Kyu gradings for orange belt to red belt are conducted by your Senior Area Instructor. They are conducted 3-4 times per year.
These gradings will be rewarded with a certificate and a new belt.
£25 grading fee including the belt.
Note that all in the event of a student not passing a grading they will be afforded 2 more attempts before paying the grading fee again.

These gradings will be rewarded with a certificate and a new belt.

£50 grading fee including the belt for black belts.
Note that all in the event of a student not passing a grading they will be afforded 2 more attempts before paying the grading fee again.
Please note that your instructors will decide together whether you are ready for grading and as such grading is on a strictly invitational basis
